I Made That From Scratch

'When I first heard about it I thought it would be a day of school and didn't think about it much, but its not too bad and it was fun and even though I was nervous I didn't feel like I would hate it and I don't'  Jade, project participant

A year long project bringing together artist mentors (students), art therapists and young people living in challenging life environments who were struggling to stay in school. Our group worked together in an open air public gallery using different creative medium to explore all sorts of ideas about life, love and the universe. The young people grew skills, confidence and leadership way beyond expectations, and led the production of a book and a public exhibition. The fine art student mentors were trained as part of the project.  See further information on the mentor training here.
