Community building projects and research

‘I’m not gonna steal a pie from there now… I can’t not now I know her story’ (HoH participant).

‘Arts have the ability to create empathy and self-expression, just what these kids need. We have found that young people really want to tell their stories, they just need the safety and to find the right ways to do it. The mental health aspects of arts is huge, but you need skilled people for when things are ‘let out’ (Scott Samson, Waitakere Alternative Education Consortium Director).

We absolutely love working with communities and using the arts to build relationships, generate conversations and get people working together on things they care about. We’d love to hear from people who want to partner with us. For examples see Lights and Links and Humans of Hendo in projects.
