The success of Humans of Hendo led to our rangatahi collaborators winning Arts Access Aotearoa Putanga Toi ki Aotearoa's Community Partnership Award (now Te Putanga Toi Arts Access Award). After much advocating and fundraising our rangatahi artists and their Creative Wellbeing Specialists attended a celebration in Wellington at parliament to accept the award.

For our rangatahi, the trip to Wellington was an experience of "firsts" - the first time on an aeroplane, the first time in a new city, the first time seeing Te Papa, the first time staying in a hotel, the first time away from whanau, the first time receiving an award. To take advantage of this opportunity, our excited rangatahi armed themselves with cameras and documented our trip through photography. The resulting photographs were then curated into a zine to commemorate this unique experience.
